Ok, so why not, eh?

100 things about me that you may not already know but could just, if you're high, or have recently had bad seafood, find interesting

1. People find me very extroverted even though i think of myself as an introvert.
2. It is only in the past year that i have really formed a goal for my life.  Prior to that i had no real dreams or life goals. 
3. Even though i live with the cat from hell i can't really imagine wanting to live again without a cat.
4. I am truly a night owl forced to live in the world of the day.  But i love the sun.
5. I have driven 2/3 of the way across North America more than 14 times, with me at the wheel more than 70% of that time.
6. I once spent the majority of 3 days sleeping on a single mattress that was in the back of a truck on a piece of plywood held at the level of the truck box.  The truck was on the way across canada.  This time was spent with my major piece of company being a massive snowblower.  I was 9.
7. I didn't really get any of what was good about family until i started spending time with my extended family after i went to university.
8. I didn't have a real female friend until second year university.  Now i have more female than male and find it much easier to be close to my female friends.
9. I have two partial degrees.  3/4's each.  First was Metallurgical Engineering, second was philosophy.  I do not have an actual degree.
10. In my opinion it is a lot easier to spend time in a room of eng students than it is with a group of hyper faux-intellectual pretentious phil students.
     
11. I didn't fall in love for the first time until 2nd year university.  It didn't work out.
12. 100 really does sometimes seem to be not all that many but soon it can seem like a huge amount.
13. The biggest thrill i get is during the creative process, when my head is dragging things out of me and creating a vision of where i am going.  This even surpasses producing something that matches the vision.
14. The second biggest thrill is seeing someone's eyes widen in wonder at something i have created.
15. I have been addicted to reading as long as i can remember. 
16. The only genres of writing that i can not find a thrill in is historical or harlequin romances.
17. I have used bodice rippers as stroke material more than once but less than 10 times in the past.
18. I am a staunch atheist.
19. Even if God did exist, there is very little doubt in my mind that i would not worship her/him.
20. The idea of having a favourite number makes no sense to me in any way whatsoever.
     
21. My favourite number is 22.
22. My favourite colour is a deep red, the closer to a pool of blood 10 minutes into its drying cycle as possible.
23. It is almost impossible to make me angry.
24. It is even more impossible to make me act out in anger.
25. I have only every been in one knock down drag out fight.  I won.  I looked worse at the end than the person i fought.
26. In the end i quite because i found i did not have the heart to hit someone.
27. For some reason pseudo-hitting and some level of violence is involved in pretty much all of my male relationships in the first 2/3 of my life.
28. Number 27 shames me.  I don't really do it anymore but every once in a while i catch an impulse.  A hit even in jest isn't a cool thing.
29. Answering a question honestly, one on one is one of the easiest things in the world for me.  it doesn't matter how embarrassing.
30. Offering the same information openly, on my own volition would, be one of the hardest.
     
31. Stoner Comedy just isn't funny on any level to me.  I don't know why.
32. I'd quite happily, right this moment give each person reading this a dollar to admit that each entry counts for two.
33. I'm not gay but it flatters me when people think that i am. 
34. Having your mother ask you when you are 16 is a very weird 10 minutes.
35. Having this asking being one of the two important reasons that ask your first girl out is a cop out reason but still a good one.
36. I was born Ukrainian Catholic and raised until about the age of 10 as Roman Catholic, with actual special dispensation from the Ukrainian Catholic church because there was no Ukranian Catholic church in my hometown.
37. I spent the first 14 years of my life in a town of 1100 people in the desolate north of BC.
38. The best thing about a movie for me is good dialogue.  There are very few movies with great dialogue made these days.  It's a reason to love film noir.
39. When i am not looking i have this horrific need to be a white knight to a maiden in need. 
40. Maiden's in need do not make the best relationships.
     
41. i'm shy.
42. in general i don't really think that most people are worth getting to know.
43. i don't feel there is anything with that.
44. i am not a terribly clean person.
45. i am a fairly neat person but the size constraints of my apt leave me at a loss a lot of the time and clutter forms and i just throw my hands up in the air and give up.
46. this doesn't really bother me all that much.
47. i'm glad that in our society that this is the way it is expected that a bachelor will live.
48. when i urinate standing up i always lower the seat and the lid, when i defecate i never lower the lid.
49. I think gold is ugly.
50. I think silver is beautiful.
     
51. I find it next to impossible to admit to myself that i love someone.
52. I often do not believe it is possible for me to love someone without respecting them.
53. To this day i do not know if i love my parents, brother or sister.
54. I don't really know what it means to love in a familial way.
55. I do not have first hand experience with many of the emotions that people claim are overpowering.
56. I have read almost every book or story that Louis L'Amour ever wrote.
57. I hold absolutely no shame over this fact.
58. When i was ten i was an absolute hound for mystery books.  I basically stopped reading them until about a year ago when i started up again.  Currently they make up at least a 1/3 of my reading.
59. Some day i would like to write a good mystery.  right now i have to hold myself back from trying because i do no think i am mature enough yet.
60. Dogs suck.  The reason they suck is because they have the power to make me act as if i care for them.  I hate being manipulated.
     
61. I dislike children for basically the same reason.
62. Dogs and kids love me.
63. I can not stop from falling for women who are particularly easy to tease.
64. Women whom i tease very rarely take me seriously, especially as a romantic interest.
65. I can't stop this pattern.  I don't know if i want to. I do realize that this means that i may have to find a exceedingly special woman to fall in love.
66. It is very easy to be kind to strangers, if they talk to you first.
67. It is very easy to talk to strangers if you have no other choice.
68. I don't light my candles very often because it seems luxurious to waste them just on me.
69. I love the atmosphere that candles give my apt.
70. I think nothing about throwing huge amounts of money at any hobby that strikes my fancy.
     
71. For too long i lived beyond my means.  I don't know that my life was that much better than than now.
72. I don't like Buffy.  Although i could easily have a monster sized crush upon her.
73. I have a huge crush on Gwenyth Paltrow but i generally don't like blondes.
74. I keep falling for blondes.
75. My favourite movie is Princess Bride.
76. The movie i remember most for giving me a huge brain rush when i was young was 'The Man Who Would Be King.'
77. I keep meaning to read that story but do not even come remotely close to doing so.
78. I have trouble believing that i am on item 78 now.
79. I love my love for art. I don't know when i formed this love but it wasn't until i was 25 or so.
80. I love my apt.
     
81. i have a habit of moving to some place that i love and then staying there long periods of time. it is hard to get me out of these places.
82. Small breasts will turn my head long before large ones will.
83. There is nothing that turns me on more than nipples.
84. I don't like, in my adulthood any animal i was tasked with taking care of in my youth without my choice.  This includes horses, pigeons and dogs.  It does not include cats but they seem to be more my choice.
85. I think of myself as a candian patriot. I love this country.
86. I think that a random sampling of americans will hold more of the characteristics i don't like in humans than any other group.
87. I hold this belief in spite of the fact that i have a large number of american friends whom i love dearly.
88. i love my friends and the idea of losing one of them is a horrible thought to me.
89. I don't think that there is anyone in my life that would die and i would cry.
90. This makes me wonder sometimes if i am a good person.
     
91. I am hooked on Trading Spaces and While You Were Out.  I have crushes on most of the women and some of the men on these two shows.
92. I don't think it is counter-rational to say i am not gay and admit to a crush on a man.
93. If i don't have two flavoured drinks and water in my fridge there is something wrong with it.
94. I blame my mother for my addiction to coke.  a-cola.  It was the fact that it was always in the house but we were never allowed it.  For some this made cigarettes and coffee the unattainable brilliance.  Neither of those have ever tempted me in the slightest. i do neither to this day.
95. I have done acid. It was amazing, i loved the experience. I would do it again.
96. I doubt i will ever be more grown up than i am today.
97. I do not feel that i am particularly grown up today.
98. I can not bring myself to fear death.
99. I no longer think i am going to die when i am 32.
100. I used to think i was going to.
