so i have narrowed it down.  the cat is insane about running water.  i have proof.  in two different rooms in the past few days i have walked out of the room with water running into the sink.  as i walk away to somewhere else he will come to me and look up at me expectantly and wail plaintively.  and if i look down at him he stands upon his hind feet, puts his paws on my leg and wails again. if i say what to him, he just looks at me some more.  if i go into the room where the water is running he follows and wails a little more, this time as if to say, 'see, you aren't an idiot, you do understand. now make it stop.'
   you should see the subsequent look i get if i leave the room with the water still running. apparently i don't have the brains god gave catnip.

   so i went back to work this week. i don't want to ever go back to work again. there is something that i showed myself in my week off.  i am capable of being productive when i am just at home all the time. not only that i make myself get out of the house and go on nice long walks.  I got all of the necklaces done, i got a business card case done (it's lovely, i quite like it. here...a picture...although the picture doesn't really do it fair justice

   and i did a bunch of work on the new book.  not to mention all the relaxing, reading, wandering and movies.  it was superb.  i have decided that i need to be a person who makes a living doing all of these things in my home.

   hey, i delivered the last 8 of the 10 necklaces in the commission and not only did she like them she liked them so much that she gushed to the point of my actual embarrassment. i had to leave so she would stop staying such nice things.  but not before she ordered two more! so that's pretty cool. no wait, that's exceptionally cool.

   but work sucks. it's very busy and you know what, it's just not me staying home and being creative.  strangely enough i was in a meeting on monday and someone said that the project i am on needed a logo made.  all of a sudden everyone in the room is looking at me and i am tasked with the.  who knew i had been recognized for such talent.  i did the logo and it is going over pretty well.  it will even adorn a bunch of advertising crap for the project. it's almost like i am famous or something.
