have  mentioned lately how much i love the city in which i live?
vancouver is such a wonderful place.
i left my apt at about 1 today and headed off to have brunch with a friend.  two buses and a bit of a wait later and we sat down to do so. this isn't the cool part about vancouver.

   as we left the restaurant i said that we should walk back to his place.  not too far, about 12 blocks or so. after a little grumbling and surprise he agree and away we went.  we were walking down main street which is a pretty cool street because of the diversity of cultures displayed in its shops and restaurants but again, not the point of my story.  When i dropped my friend off at his place the general plan was to hop on the and head homewards, perhaps stopping at a grocery store along the way to find something for supper.
  but i am standing there, on this street that stretches off into the distance towards my house.  It is lined with trees the entire way that stretch out into the street and form a canopy of flowers, buds and new leaves. before i know what is going on i have decided to walk home, of not the entire way at least more of it.
   it's not like i live a long way away. if you add the part from the restaurant it will only be 37 blocks or so. so away i go. i keep mostly to the in between streets and as such i have a glorious walk, in a warm spring day, down quiet, calm streets filled with trees, flowers and peace.  Half-way home, in my semi-wandering trail, i take a turn that drops me out in a park and on a trail that follows the water.  i plunk myself down on a park bench and do some writing. after a time and some work done, i get up and follow the sea wall until i arrive at granville island.
   at granville island i go to the fresh food market and buy the ingredients necessary to make a nice 4 cheese pizza on my pizza stone for dinner this evening.  from there i wander home.

did i mention how glorious vancouver is?
you should come visit.

have you noticed that there is a new section in the menu bar at the top of page?
i have added a new section to the website.  it is really an extension of the jewellery section but in it belong the things that i have been sculpting.  i have done this because i was at store on Saturday and some people expressed interest in my spider sculptures. perhaps for sale.  and guess what, i had a Business Card to give them!!!!
   how freakin' cool is that? we'll see if it goes anywhere.

right now i am almost creatived right out.  i am almost through with the necklace commission, i have completed 7 and have 3 more to go.  my fingers are feeling the pain. i am about half done the new card carrier box.  i have been writing.  i have been playing a lot with photo's and images.  in fact, check this out.  i took the first picture and then made the second using it and corel draw.
