Again, hi.
i am exhilarated.

This past chapter i just finished, chapter 8 btw, was an interesting one to write.  for one thing it was supposed to be about one thing and then never got around to being about it at all. instead my main character decided to resolve a relationship that i had pretty much assumed was going to remain unresolved in this book (no, not so i could be in the sequel).  it ended up being a much more powerful and useful chapter than orginally planned.  so that is good.

so that is chapter 8 gone. that means only two chapters left.  somewhere between 12-15000 words i'd guess.  i am 80% done.  practically coming in on the home stretch.  i am getting kind of excited coming up on the finish, after all, i get to let my main character get his girl soon.  yay.

didn't get nearly as much done this weekend as i would have hoped.  not sure why.  still managed to meet the minimums i'd set of 3000 a day but i was hoping for 5000.

i had hoped to be done before next weekend. now i am not sure, it will depend upon who the week goes.

tell you what though, i just hit 100 pages, 1.5 spacing, normal margins. that's a lot of freakin' writing i have done.

Hi.

i'm exhausted.
it was the inner growth chapter.
tonight's were the hardest 4000 words of the book yet.

had to write them all tonight though cause i didn't write a word last night.
didn't get home until 10:30 from pottery class, and then isaac threw a needy spell.
it was weird.  it was lying on my couch with isaac purring contentedly on my chest feeling really yucky cause i wasn't writing at the same time as i was mentally relieved that i didn't have to think.

so i wrote 4000 tonight to help catch up.  (i want 3000 per day) and hope to write extra next week as well.
on the other hand, i just finished chapter 6.  that means, my friends, 60% done.

Ok that was some weekend there that we just went through.  I wrote 20 000 words between friday evening and right now. That's many words. That's not much time that they all came out in.  And i didn't need to kill my social life to do it, i went to brunch twice, had my hair done (yellow!), did some shopping, made a stew from scratch, went to Attack of the Clones, the IMAX version (not worth $14 thank you), and had two in house DVD movie dates.

More importantly is the fact that i am halfway through chapter 6.  Being halfway through chapter 6 means i am done chapter 5.  being done chapter 5 means i am half done my book!!!!  36 000 words was half done.  If things stay the way they have been, that means the book will be done at about 72 000 words. it seems attainable now.

a friend was happy tonight because she now knew a novelist.  i don't know if i will call myself that but in a few short weeks i will have written a novel.  a freakin novel! ya me!
