Stuff On Top

June 25 - 9 pm.

What a weekend.  I have just had a great weekend.  Even discounting the fact that yesterday i had to work and today i had plans to get a huge amount done and instead i spent it doing nothing, nothing at all.  I don't remember doing anything.  Not a thing.   What a glorious waste of time.

It started on Friday night.  Friday night i went out for Sushi with Shar.  We went to Kitto House which is where we normally go for sushi before events.  Do any of you remember that this is also the place where the Challenges started?  (check it out if you forgot).  If you will recall it was all started by the phrase, 'I Mother Earth Suck Now,' and how impressed i was that someone felt enough passion to write that and that i wanted to be able to find passion like that.  Well, friday night i declared that i had found that level of passion, which means that i had reached a goal, a road mark, a place of joy.  It had not come directly from the challenge, but the challenge had a huge influence on the success. My passion, of course, has been found in my girlfriend.  As Shar and i were sitting there talking about stuff, i realized that there needed to be a statement made.
I had planned on bringing a magic marker with me when i came, but i had forgot.  I had never written on a bathroom stall before, wasn't even remotely interested in doing so and always felt it was a little improper. But, this didn't matter, this was special, this transcended such bounds.  When we finished Shar, who is in favour of all forms of miscreantism, said she would walk the block and a half to get a marker from Staples but i was afraid to sit all alone in the scary Japanese restaurant, so i went with her.  She seemed to think that getting back into the bathroom after we had left would be a bigger problem but i was fairly sure i could overcome such a minor hardship.  So we did, we went and got the pens and came back.  Shar wanted to come in with me but i had to tell her that it would be a larger hardship to overcome with her joining me in the men's room.
I sauntered into the restaurant.  It is not a complex trick.  At the start you look like you are looking for you friend, towards the back, you look like you are a person who is sitting at the front who needs the washroom...pretty easy.  If you are stopped, hit someone and run.  (hee hee, no, this is not what you need to do, there are other tricks for such instances, but you have to become a member to get those tricks ).  I get into the bathroom with no instances and put this up on the stall door.

Thank You I Mother Earth and Whore.

Yes, yes, don't think i don't know what the people reading this in the men's washroom, in black magic marker will either be very confused or think something terribly sexual.  Either way, i am sure it will amuse their time in the facility or disturb them.  And if it is the latter, i think i am more amused.  April, of course, refers to when i started talking to my girlfriend, my source of passion.  Whore...refers to Shar, of course, because it is best to have nice names for your closest dearest friends.

After this,  Shar and i went to see Ms. Holly Cole in concert.  I. Am. Still. In. A. State. Of.  Flabbergasted.  Orgasmic.  Shock.   Wow.  She was incredible.  To be fair, i knew she was going to be, i have seen her in concert before and she is always incredible.  She always leaves me a state of awe for days.  She is my favourite artist for reasons that never escape me, she is just the most incredible singer.  Her stage presences, her sense of humour, her sexiness, her voice, her emotion, i don't have to be clearer do i?  I bought her new CD and am in the process of falling in love with it.  I am going to be writing a review of it for Marigold. so i will stop talking about it now and let you go check it out. I shall send you there when it is up.

If this wasn't enough, the next day i had a great time as well.  Even though i wasn't sure i was going to.  A couple of my friends (Robin and Eddie) had their first anniversary.  Our celebrations included two pubs and a scary karaoke bar in the heart of China Town.  You can go check out Shar's entry for the info on the Karaoke bar.  I'll just say, if the Yakuzae had come out of the back room, with machine guns and shot us all, i would not have been surprised.  This was actually much more of a hoot than i ever expected it would be.  Consider, i don't like singing out loud, in public, because i don't like to subject my voice to those around me.  And listening to my friends sing when their voice is no better than my voice, that's even worse.  But, in a private room, with a couple of good voices and everyone but me half tanked...that is fun.  It was just fun.

Today... i didn't do a thing.  Well, a couple of things.  Marigold posted an aritcle i wrote for them, so i stared at it for about an hour or so.  And my friend Roger called, Roger is the first of my friends from university to get married and also the first to have a child, Robert, 2 weeks, 2 days today.  He sounded whiny and cute on the phone.  Congrats Roger and Dora, i love you guys.

And now this is long...so i am stopping.
